Sea World San Diego Holiday Lights

By D.Z.
If you are close to Sea World San Diego, you may see an attraction high up in the sky.  It is called 'Sky Tower', where you get to go up high in the sky looking over the park! During the holiday season, the tower is decorated with lights. It looks really cool, especially late at night!

Whaley House San Diego

If you are in downtown San Diego, just a few miles away is Old Town San Diego. Here you can find shops, restaurants, and a haunted house. The Whaley House has been around since the 1800's! It belonged to the Whaley's! Today, the house is a museum. For more information, visit http://whaleyhouse.org/

Wreck it Ralph Review

By D.Z.
If you are in need to get your game on, go see Wreck it Ralph. The movie is about Wreck it Ralph (John C. Reilly) getting tired of being the bad guy. In an arcade game, he tries to wreck a tower filled with people. Then Fix it Felix (Jack McBrayer) comes to the rescue and fixes the building with his magical hammer. This movie has a great lesson! I have never seen a movie like this before. This movie deserves two thumbs up! Out of 10 stars, I would give it an 8!

Election 2012: The Winner for President

Last night was a very big night for America. For a while Mitt Romney and President Obama have been battling it out in the debates. Mitt Romney ran with Paul Ryan who is going to be Vice President if they win. Barack Obama still stood with Vice President Joe Biden. As they polls closed, the two were very close. Later was announced that Barack Obama would stay President of the United States for four more years.

Scream Zone Review

By D.Z.
San Diego has three main events for Halloween. The events are the Scream Zone, Haunted Trail, and the Haunted Hotel. I was able to visit the Scream Zone. It was a lot of fun. The Scream Zone has a few optional zones. The most popular is the Haunted Hayride. You are able to ride around a bunch of areas where actors come out and scare you. Another option is the House of Horrors, where blood is the theme. The last one is the Chamber, where you run for you life from scary actors. If you are ever in need for a good scare, try the Scream Zone. For more information, visit http://www.thescreamzone.com/

The Music of Cars Land Soundtrack Review

By D.Z.
On a trip to California Adventures, I was able to get the limited edition 'Music of Cars Land' soundtrack. It features some of the songs you hear while at Cars Land. This includes Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, Radiator Springs Racers and some of the shops and restaurants. This soundtrack is really great. I have listened to the whole thing many times. If you like Cars Land, you need this soundtrack.

Color Run San Diego

By D.Z.
On November 3, over 28 thousand people were able to run around and get very colorful at Qualcom Stadium in San Diego. That means the Color Run came to San Diego. The Color Run is 3.1 miles, and every half mile, you get sprayed by color! Lots of fun. This was not my first time doing the Color Run. I was able to do the one in Orange County. You can check out my review on the Color Run from back in April. The Color Run in San Diego was very different in many ways. Here are some highlights including some new additions.

The starting line looked the same. Be sure to get in line early.

The DJ got the party started as he passed out prizes

One of the prizes he gave out included a beach ball.
One of the coolest additions was a Runicorn, who helped you get pumped up before the run.

The yellow section.

The pink section.

The Color Car!
At the end of the 5k, you can celebrate by dancing, singing and having a great time.

Along with that, every 15 minutes, you get to throw a bag of color in the air with a bunch of others.
Here is what it looks like outside of it.

For tips on how to survive the Color Run, visit our post.

Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade Taping

By D.Z.
Just this weekend, Disneyland will be in filming mode, as they tape the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. This annually event premieres on ABC Christmas day. The show takes place at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. They film them on separate days though. The parade is filled with stars, characters, music and joy.
Last year, the show had many performances including Justin Bieber, Cee Lo Green, One Republic and Jennifer Hudson. The show usually has two hosts. Last year it was Mario Lopez and Nick Cannon. Along with that, a few co-hosts. Lasts year included Travel Channel's Samantha Brown and Maria Menounos.
Just like last year, it will be a hit. Who knows what might happen this weekend at Disneyland.

Transformers Coming to Universal Orlando

By D.Z.
Universal Studios Hollywood's newest attraction is Transformers: The Ride 3D. In this ride, you get to step into the movie as you twist and turn all in the third dimension. Just yesterday Universal Orlando announced that they will be having Transformers too. The Hollywood version has been very popular so they had to bring it to Florida. It will be much like the one in Hollywood. The opening of this exciting attraction will be in Summer of 2013.

Here is a video from Inside the Magic.

Titanic Voice From The Distaster Review

By D.Z.
I recently read a book by Deborah Hopkinson called "Titanic Voice From The Disaster!" Being a fan of the Titanic, I loved it. The book makes you feel like you are there. While reading, you feel like a Titanic historian. I loved everything about this book. From beginning to end, you are fascinated. Things that happened on that night when Titanic sank are still a mystery, but it seems like some are solved when you read this book.
