When Disney announced the all new quest
'A Pirates Adventure', it made me think about how many pirate experiences have been added to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

At Disneyland Park, they celebrated the all new movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides by showing ten minute previews in 3D. This also offered a great new experience where pirates would come and interact with guests before the show. The sneak peek ran for a couple months.

In the beginning of May 2011, Disneyland held the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides premiere. Stars who walked down the 'black carpet' include Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Jerry Bruckhiemer and much more.
Not too long ago, Disney's Hollywood Studios announced an all new experience. "Legends of Captain Jack Sparrow" opened December 6th. Here, Captain Jack teaches you how to be apart of the crew. This walk through experience included lots projections and special effects. The video (above) shows how Disney created the experience.
Just announced days ago, an all new pirate adventure will be opening at the Magic Kingdom this spring. "A Pirates Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas" will take you on a quest to
help Captain Jack find a bunch of different treasures. It is not that
easy. Obstacles include fighting off other pirates and the Royal Navy! This all
new experience opens Spring 2013!! Artist rendering by Walt Disney Imagineering.
As you can tell, the Disney Parks on both coasts have a lot of great pirate adventures. Of course the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction is still open! Speaking of Pirates of the Caribbean, the 5th movie is set to come out July 2015!
