On Wednesday, March 4th, members of the media were invited to a special unveiling of the all-new LEGO Star Wars Miniland Death Star at LEGOLAND California.
The Death Star Model Display is located in Star Wars Miniland, which is directly behind the Knight's Tournament attraction.
The Death Star was hidden until the official unveiling ceremony at 5:30.
While waiting, a fantastic band played some of the well known songs from the Star Wars trilogy's.
At 5:30pm, LEGOLAND California's Julie Estrada came out and welcomed everyone to the event.
Soon after, General Manager Peter Ronchetti took the stand and showed how thrilled he was to see Star Wars Miniland expand once again.
The Star Wars themed area was originally brought to the park back in 2011. With so much success, in 2012, it was expanded with the addition of the LEGO Star Wars Gallery.

We then faced an invasion of Stormtroopers.
Darth Vader then took the stand to help unveil the Death Star!
Then the curtain finally went down and revealed the model consisting of 500,000 LEGO Bricks. It is 13 feet high and 8 feet wide and weighs more than 1,900 pounds.
Infront of the model is a giant building station. In the middle of it is a giant LEGO trench, where in the movies, Luke Skywalker was seen zooming through to destroy the Death Star.
Taking pictures with members of the media and special guests was Darth Vader himself and his team of Stormtroopers!
R2-D2 was also seen around Star Wars Miniland.
We were able to talk exclusively to LEGOLAND California's GM Peter Ronchetti about the newest addition to Star Wars Miniland!
