Boomers San Diego Mini Golf Review

By D.Z. Theme Park Specialist
Just a few days ago, I was able to visit Boomers San Diego! I had such a great time. Every time I go to Boomers, I have to play mini golf. The reason I do that is because they have a bunch of small  themed buildings. One golf course was themed old western style, while another one was themed fantasy. I had such a great time playing. The course was a little to long but still fun. Remember, Boomers does not just have mini golf. They have bumper boats, bumper cars and much more.

Entombed in Alcatraz Review

By D.Z.
While I was on the Alcatraz tour last month, I got to meet Robert Luke! He was a former prisoner at Alcatraz. When I was there he was signing autographs for his book "Entombed in Alcatraz." The book is about his experience on "the rock." I recently read another book by a former prisoner. What makes Robert's book different is most of the book is about the prison. I think the book was really good. I reccomend this book to anyone wo wants to hear about the life of an Alcatraz prisoneer. You can purchase the book today on amazon.com.

Hallowen Time at the Disneyland Resort Tips

By D.Z.
Halloween Time is such a fun time to visit the Disneyland Resort. They add so much for the season. Here are some MUST SEE things in the park.

1.      Be sure to check out the Haunted Mansion. During the Halloween season it gets transformed to the Haunted Mansion Holiday. Inside and out, Jack Skelington (Nightmare Before Christmas) takes over as his point of view of Christmas. The whole mansion looks totally different. The best part is in the ballroom scene. They have a real gingerbread house that changes every year!

2.      Go check out Space Mountain. Disney turns the ride into Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. On the ride giant ghosts pop out. You never know where they might be!

 3. Stay a little later for Mickey's Halloween Party. For a separate admission, you get to go trick or treating around the park, see some Halloween fireworks, enjoy the wonderful rides, and much more. This is a must go to event. *This whole event is a separate admission. For this event, the park does close a little early. If you plan on going, please book your tickets in advance.

So there are 3 MUST SEE things in the park! That is not all. Lots of other fun stuff goes on in the park! For more information, visit http://disneyland.disney.go.com/events/halloween-time/!

Americas Got Talent Finale

By D.Z.
Last night was the season finale of Americas Got Talent. The show was held at the New Jersey Preforming Arts Center. The finale included performances by the Blue Man Group, Justin Bieber and much more. Finally the winner was announced. Olate Dogs was crowned winner! They have group of dogs that do really cool tricks. You won't believe your eyes once you see them. One dog even does a back flip. I don't think anyone has seen a dog act so great. All the finalists were great. David Garibaldi and his CMYK's make wonderful painting through music and dance. Tom Cotter makes America laugh telling his hilarious jokes. The Untouchables is a group of young dancers who are fantastic. Joe Castillo makes outstanding drawings in colored sand. William Close creates/plays never before seen instruments. They are all great acts! Congratulations to all of them.

On Sunday, we went to the Wave Water Park in San Diego. This water park has 4 water slides, a lazy river, and much more. They even have this thing called 'Flow Rider', where you can boogie board on a wave that never ends. The water park, is very fun. I recommend it for all water fans. Great way to enjoy a hot summer day. For more information, visit http://www.thewavewaterpark.com/!

Alcatraz: The True End of the Line Review

   By D.Z. Theme Park Specialist
I recently read a really great book. Written by a former Alcatraz inmate Darwin E. Coon, he talks about his prisoner days and gaining his freedom. The book is really good. He describes it like it just happened. Also he talks about the the Anglin brothers and Frank Morris escaping from the prison, giving his point of views. This book is a must read for all Alcatraz fans. I would give this book a 9/10. It would of been better if he talked a little more about Alcatraz. You can purchase this book on amazon.com today.

Star Wars Miniland Coming to Legoland Florida

By D.Z. Theme Park Specialist
Just in May they opened the Legoland Water Park. 13 months after opening (Opened in October of 2011), Legoland Florida will open Star Wars Miniland. This experience is like the one that opened at Legoland California  just in 2011. Just like in the movies, they will take you to a galaxy far, far away. All 'Star Wars' and 'LEGO' fans are going to love this. This new experience is planned to open in November of 2012!

Southwest Airlines Review

By D.Z. Theme Park Specialist
If you are in need of a great airline, try Southwest. They are very great. The planes are well kept and comfortable. Everyone on the crew is very helpful. They make sure your trip is fantastic. They also offer wi-fi, but for a small cost.

Candlewood Suites Review

By D.Z. Theme Park Specialist
Recently we stayed at the Candlewood Suites. This hotel is very clean, and affordable. The rooms are very nice. The room we stayed in even had a small kitchen. The only thing that I didn't like was the beds are not that comfortable. Breakfast is also included. The food was very good. The hotel even had an indoor spa. As you can tell, Candlewood Suites is a good place to stay. Be sure to visit their website and book you room today at www.candlewoodsuites.com!
