In 1959, we met the most evil Disney villain in the classic "Sleeping Beauty". Now, she is back on the big screen in a movie by her own name. Maleficent grows up living in a magical world called The Moors. It sits next to a large kingdom. These two sides begin to fight, with Maleficent as The Moors leader. After some betrayal, Maleficent wings are stolen by an old "friend" of hers. This causes great anger in Maleficent, deciding to cast a spell on the king and queen's new born baby.
"Before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday, she will fall into a sleep-like death."
And the only way to break the curse is true loves kiss....
For the next sixteenth years, Maleficent watches over the young one, and even begins to fall in love with her. Maleficent then tries to stop the curse, but nothing worked. The only thing she could do is watch her grow up to be the person she was. And then it happens..... Only true loves curse will save her...
I don't want to spoil the ending, but its not what you think. I really enjoyed the movie and will easily give it a 10 out of 10. Well done for sure are the special effects, costumes and acting. Angelina Jolie made the character likable, which is hard to make of a villain.
