DIVERGENT HITS THEATRES: Last Friday, Divergent made it's blockbuster hit in theatres. The film is about Beatrice Prior, who is now old enough to become a worker in one of five personality factions: Amity (kindness), Abnegation, which is the governing faction (selfless), Candor (honest), Dauntless (fearless), or Erudite (smart). Always amazed by their bravery, Beatrice joins Dauntless, and her brother, Caleb, joins Erudite. However, her personality test was inconclusive, and she was dubbed divergent, which is a dangerous position to be in.

'DESTINATION D'  DETAILS: Earlier this week, D23 made some additional announcements for Destination D, a big event at Walt Disney World in November. The theme for this years event is 'attraction rewind'. You can purchase event tickets starting in April.

Divergent: Movie Review

By Beemerboyz803
Today, I was able to watch the new movie, Divergent. The movie, which came out on Friday, focuses on Beatrice Prior (Shailene Woodley). Beatrice is now old enough to become a worker in one of five personality factions: Amity (kindness), Abnegation, which is the governing faction (selfless), Candor (honest), Dauntless (fearless), or Erudite (smart). Always amazed by their bravery, Beatrice joins Dauntless, and her brother, Caleb, joins Erudite. However, her personality test was inconclusive, and she was dubbed divergent, which is a dangerous position to be in.
The movie was great. It was funny, and full of suspense. If I had any problems with Divergent, it would be the amount of swearing used and the amount of violence used. My overall rating? A 9.5. I'd definitely recommend it again, and I can't wait for Insurgent

Frozen Hits $1 Billion in Box Office Totals
On Sunday, March 2, Frozen, Disney's newest blockbuster, surpassed the $1 billion mark in box office totals, the eighteenth film to do so, and the ONLY second animated film to surpass the $1 billion mark, besides Pixar's Toy Story 3. The movie quickly became a success after its Thanksgiving Day release in 2013. With Japan still awaiting its Frozen premiere in 8 days, it is almost certain that Frozen will surpass Toy Story 3 to become the top-grossing animated film in history.

Catching Fire Hits Stores
Today, March 7, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be released in stores for sale on DVD and Blu-ray. The movie has raised over $860 million in box office totals, over $200 million in additional profits than the original 2012 movie.

Frozen Hits $1 Billion at Box Office

By Beemerboyz803
Today is a monumental day in animated history, as ANOTHER animated film has surpassed a worldwide gross of $1 billion at the box office. Being a contender since it premiered Thanksgiving 2013, Disney's newest blockbuster, Frozen, reached $1 billion in box office totals yesterday, March 1, 2014.

In 2010, Pixar's Toy Story 3 broke records as the first animated film to ever surpass the $1 billion mark in box office totals. The movie overall grossed $1,063,171,911. Frozen has grossed $1,000,236,000, and is still yet to premiere in Japan in less than two weeks.
Will Frozen surpass Toy Story 3 to become the highest grossing animated film ever? Chances are high, because Japan hasn't gotten a chance to experience Disney's newest blockbuster. My opinion? It is definite, being behind by only $63 million and expecting a premiere in Japan. Well, we don't know for sure what Japan will do for Frozen, but fingers crossed!

Congratulations, Frozen!! For the first time in forever, another animated film has reached $1 billion!!!

UPDATE: Frozen has been nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars' tonight (March 2) and at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, March 29. Fingers crossed this billion-dollar blockbuster will nab some more awards!!!
